I don't trust trusted pollster Janet Brown's polls, who basically tanked Rachel's victory with her bogus last minute ucp landslide poll, any more than I trust trusted pollster Angus Reid who said that Trudeau encouraged churches being burnt to the ground on X then deleted it. Saachi Kurl, his wing gal, is about as neutral and clever as a smurf who are decidedly not clever but obviously blue.
This article is so much woulda shoulda coulda it might be served up at a Sex and the City lunch date.
Interesting about the players and playing field though. The Alberta Repug party is a party. TBA is a third party advertiser that legally could not ever be a party.
The right will be splintered into infinitesimal slivers. The Nenshi ish NDP will prevail. Nensh will rock the Ledge and we will have victory in the bys and at the general. That's at least as good a projection as Janet's.
I find it hard to believe that Mr. Nenshi has not been busy behind the scene. Lots of YouTube videos not everyone sees. They don't have the money to spend that the UCP does. The TV press barely give him a few sentences to respond on air. I think he's ready to roll.
Donna, I suppose the critical words in your post are, "... not everyone sees ..."
In other words, not a whole lot of folks seem to be listening to Nenshi; put, yet again, differently, not many people seem to be interested in his message.
The result is what the polls are telling us. Whether those polls are accurate or inaccurate I cannot say.
That Nenshi is not creating buzz is a wee bit early to criticize. With the amount of folks not paying attention to anything political, there needs to be a spot to change momentum. I think being in the Ledg is a start.
Difficult to comprehend is the people not paying attention to the many issues with Smith and the UCP. Or are they paying attention and don't care? or agree with her?
I live in Calgary and that means that I have seen Nenshi up close and I am not at all happy at the prospect of him possibly, maybe, perhaps, kinda having a chance at power again. Put differently and oh, so politely, I despise the sucker.
So, all in all, I have to say that I am paying attention to Premier Smith and find fault with some aspects of what she is doing but over all I support her. I expect that will dismay you but, above all, keep Nenshi away from having any power in Alberta! Oh, and as I am certain you are aware, Nenshi is absolutely the smartest guy in the room; if you have any doubt, he will tell you himself.
They need to email their members with alerts every time he says something. I suggested it to them awhile ago since I'm not a member of any social media but a follower here, yet the only thing I still receive is solicitations for money and volunteers.
Ah, wasn’t it Mulroney who ran up huge deficits, and the Chrétien Martin government that eliminated them? Did Harper reduce the deficit? (Short answer: no. He wasted post 08 stimulus spending on useless tax giveaways instead of desperately needed infrastructure.)
Check the years verses our Economies, we have gone through many recessions, and near depressions as in 1930, world economy and Leader timing affect deficit and jobs, not worth responding to this non sense, some people are not open minded, nor have the ability of reasoning
If I understand your comment about “world economies” and “leader timing” to mean that Conservatives governments should not be held responsible for deficits, should you not apply the same reasoning to Liberal ones?

Which is worse?
Kenny, you conclude with "Which is worse?"

I may be wrong, I may be Crazy, but we Albertans need to stay strong UCP to match Eastern Liberals, more UCP seats for balanced government.
You ARE wrong. Have you noticed anything going on in the US? That’s what you want? Because that’s what THEY (the UCP) want. Unbelievable.
Your an idiot I am 63 the liberals always increase deficit, never any job creation, wake up, quit reading and LISTEN

Considering the mess he made as the mayor of Calgary God help you all if he was to become premier.
